4th on Flagler, one of South Florida’s largest free outdoor Independence Day events, celebrates 25 years on the West Palm Beach Waterfront on July 4, 2013. More than 100,000 guests are expected to attend the celebration to take in the largest fireworks display in South Florida. The event kicks off the ‘Silver Season’ of special celebrations at each of the City’s community events.
This year’s theme, ‘By George, We’re Celebrating A QUARTER Century!’ will flash back through the past 25 years and bring to life important moments that defined the iconic event through the decades.
National recording artists and American Music Awards ‘Hot New Artist’ of 2011, Hot Chelle Rae, will bring their high-energy mix of pop/rock to the main stage at the event with hits such as ‘Tonight,Tonight’ and ‘Hung Up.’
New this year is a private, 21 and up party at the Lake Pavilion on the Waterfront. With an 80’s theme, full bar, refreshments, air-conditioned comfort and a prime spot to view the fireworks, these tickets are sure to be a hot item.
The magnificent 16-minute fireworks display will feature dazzling pyrotechnics set to the top music hits from the 80’s through today, illuminating the sky over the Intracoastal Waterway. The event also features the unfurling of the giant five story flag on the side of the Esplanade Grande building, the Big Rig Gig backhoe and forklift competition, live entertainment at the Meyer Amphitheatre and Palm Stage, Fountain of Youth Kids Area celebrating Florida’s 500th Anniversary and refreshments.
