The hour-long film highlights figures including Mack Katz, who served in the U.S. marine corps during World War I before launching Fort Lauderdale’s first women’s clothing shop; Morris Lapidus, Mack’s famed Miami Beach architect who designed the signal search light used by the military to send codes during World War II; Mitchell Wolfson, the former Miami Beach mayor who resigned from office to fight the Nazis; Boca Raton resident Irwin Stovroff, who flew B24s until he was captured and became a prisoner of war during World War II; and Delray Beach resident Melvin Pollack, who was a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. Both Stovroff and Pollack will be on hand to answer questions.
