Red Cross Partners with WPBF News Channel 25 to Host Community Courage Awards
11th annual event honors acts of heroism by 12 local residents from Palm Beaches-Treasure Coast
Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. The Red Cross will honor local neighbors who unselfishly gave of themselves and acted to save a life or avert a tragedy with the 11th Annual Community Courage Awards. Each of the 12 local residents earning the prestigious recognition bring with them tales of heroism and bravery, like the three police officers who saved a young boy who was struck by and pinned under a car, or two men who saved a woman from a burning car, and an American soldier who gave his life for his country in Afghanistan. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 21 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. Tickets are available for $50 per person or a table of ten for $450 and can be purchased online at www.pbtcredcross.org or the following link: http://american.redcross.org/communitycourageawards. For more information, contact Maura Nelson at 561.650.9131 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
