Florida Classical Ballet Theatre begins its 2011/12 season on October 15 with “In the Mood”, a mixed bill featuring works that set a mood rather than tell a story. Opening the program, “Les Sylphides”, is a romantically styled piece, set to music by Chopin. “In the Mood”, the title piece is new work by FCBT Artistic Director Colleen Smith that is inspired by the great Big Band tunes, World War II and Hollywood glamour.
Performances will be held at the Eissey Campus Theatre, 11051 Campus Drive, in Palm Beach Gardens on October 15 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $32 (center orchestra); $27 (side orchestra) and $22 (balcony).
Returning to the Company are Resident Artists Rogelio Corrales, Lily Ojea and Marshall Levin, along with Apprentices and Trainees Marinna Kus, Johanna Hurmenaa, Rebekah Levin, Gianna Beata, Megan Dunn and Eric Emerson and special Guest Artist Idael Germaine.
