Palm Beach Photographic Centre Presents:
FULL OF GRACE Exhibition – Jan 16-March 14

Fatima NeJame, president and chief executive officer of the world-renowned Palm Beach Photographic Centre (PBPC), announced that the nonprofit organization would be opening of FULL OF GRACE Photographic Exhibition, perhaps the most ambitious exhibition in the Photo Centre’s 26-year history.
FULL OF GRACE
A Journey Through the History of Childhood
January 16 – March 14, 2012
Curated by Ray Merritt, this powerful exhibit chronicles the evolution of children in society, featuring more than 250 works of art, both photography and sculpture, from five private collectors. Advances and setbacks in child development, both political and social, can be seen in these wonderfully descriptive images by more than 70 world famous artists and photographers, including Slim Aarons, Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Lewis Carroll, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Dorothea Lange, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Leni Riefenstahl, Jacob Riis, Alfred Steiglitz, Jock Sturges and Roman Vishniac.
Among the significant moments in child development covered in this historic and eye-opening exhibition include:
+ Child labor and exploitation
+ The effects on children of intolerance, poverty, illiteracy, hunger disease and war
+ Societal roles and worldwide conceptions of children
+ Positive advances in child development and welfare.
The VIP Opening Reception for FULL OF GRACE will be heldTuesday, January 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. The regular opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (Admission FREE).
