Downtown West Palm Beach is a destination for New Year’s Eve festivities, including a sparkling fireworks display over the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront, and Avocado Grill has got the best seat in the house for evening celebrators.

For guests who want to eat an early dinner then head home for the countdown, Avocado Grill will open at 4:00 p.m. and will feature their regular menu, complete with farm-to-table favorites, Short Rib Stuffed Shells and the Naughty Nico sushi roll, as well as 2-for-1 happy hour specials, until 8:00 p.m.

The second seating, taking place at 9:00 p.m., will feature an unforgettable meal highlighting soon to be favorites, Local Heirloom Tomato Tartare served with burrata cheese and frisée topped with shaved truffle vinaigrette; a delectable Crab and Avocado salad with oranges, scallions and tarragon vinaigrette; or Jumbo Grilled Shrimp Fra Diavolo (Italian for “Brother Devil”) accompanied with local arugula and salsa verde toast, as well as twelve-hour Braised Short Ribs and Stuffed Pontano Farm’s Zucchini Flower with celery root puree and crispy leaks. Housemade, warm chocolate lava cake provides the perfect finish to this exquisite meal. Cost for the second seating is $89 per person or $115 per person for those wishing to toast a fresh start for the year ahead with a bottle of Piper Heidsieck champagne.

“The finest, locally-grown ingredients are the secret to our unique New Year’s Eve menu. Farm-to-table freshness combined with extra zest makes for an exceptionally fun and creative culinary adventure,” shares executive chef Julien Gremaud.

Entertainment for the New Year’s Eve celebration will be provided by DJ German Garcia, whose unmistakable and infectious grooves, have been heard all over the world. Locally, he has moved dance floors up and down the South Florida Coast, appeared with dozens of A-list DJ’s, and held residencies at some of the best-known clubs in the area.

As the countdown begins, Gremaud and his team will lead a champagne toast on the restaurant’s awning-protected patio with a bird’s eye view of the fireworks launching along the Intracoastal Waterway with a backdrop of Palm Beach Island.

So, whether you indulge in an early or late dinner, toast with delicious selections from the extensive cocktail menu or sip away last year’s troubles with a glass of champagne, how you choose to ring in 2015 is completely up to you. There will be something for everyone, and plenty of opportunities for fun throughout the evening and well into the early morning hours, at Avocado Grill.
