The Lyric’s favorite triple threat comedian is back this season for another side-splitting night of comedic gold. With a brand of humor perfect for every audience, Sarge has been compared to the comedian great Don Rickles for their shared fast, improvisational style. Sarge has opened for some of the biggest names in show business, from The Beach Boys to Wayne Newton, and has kept people coming back to hear his unique blend of comedy,
With his natural wit and knack for comedic timing, it didn’t take very long for Sarge to make it in the entertainment industry. In the early years of his career, Sarge wrote, produced, and performed for Fox Network’s popular Best Damn Sports Show Period and worked as a syndicated radio host for Fox Sports Radio. The multi-talented comedian has brought his act to audiences across the country and around the world, from a packed crowd in Radio City Music Hall to soldiers in Iraq. In his performances, Sarge incorporates song into his comedy routines, often doing impressions of famous crooners including Harry Connick, Jr. and Lionel Richie. Recently, Sarge performed at the 6th Annual MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert and also appeared in The Lyric’s presentation of Guys and Dolls In Concert in the role of Nathan Detroit this past season.
