Discover the many native plants that grow well in South Florida. Members of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society will present tips on selecting native plants for the yard, covering such topics as watering, light requirements and soil conditions. The benefits to both growers and native plants of reduced mowing, fertilizing, pest control and watering will be explained. A guided walk to the Society’s native plant demonstration garden at Mounts will give attendees a chance to view natives in a landscape setting and gather design ideas. Many of the plants presented will be offered for purchase at the end of the workshop.
